Creating a structural grid

- [Narrator] One of the first things we typically do in working with larger steel structures such as buildings, modules, or pipe racks, is to set up a structural grid. This allows us to set up the overall shape of our steel structure, and give us a set of construction lines that we can work with to simplify the placement of our steel. So, let's open up drawing 03_02_Struct. And, up on our Parts Insertion panel, take a look at the grid options that we have. So what we have here is... It's just a dialogue box that we can plug in the values. If we know what the overall bay's going to be in a building, for example, we can start to put those values in. So what I'm going to do is come down to our first axis value here. So we're working with our standard UCS, which is what we're set to right now. And that's going to use the x and the y value. And I'm going to come along, and just keep some simple numbers here for right now. I'm just going to call this 20 feet. Our first bay would be at 20…
