Configure the file name format
- [Instructor] All companies have a standardized file naming structure which is typically a schema design to identify the contents of a file. When you set up your project, you have two options for naming your drawing files. Out of the box, you can type in your own text string which allows you to name each file individually, however, when working on a large project environment, I would recommend that you choose the option to set up a custom file name format, which forces all the drawings to be created with the correct nomenclature. Let's take a look at setting up a custom P&ID format. So first of all, let's create a new drawing. And we're going to create a new P&ID. Now up here, you can see I can name this drawing whatever I choose, and I'm going to say OK. So there we have our new P&ID drawing.
