- [Instructor] Now we're ready to start running some pipe. In this lesson, we're going to look at some of the pipe-routing basics and look a little closer at some of the onscreen tools that we have to work with, such as the compass, grips, and dynamic input. Let's go ahead and open drawing 05_02_PIPING. This is just going to be a little bit of sandbox drawing. We're going to run some pipe in here, we're not going to save any of this. It's just for exercises and practicing. We're going to start off by coming up to our parts insertion panel, and I'm going to just choose a pipe size, here. I'm just going to get a six-inch, and I'm going to use CS150. I'm going to assign a line number to this, so I'm going to come up and I'm going to choose Route New Line. I'm going to call this line 400. We're going to assign that, and now we're ready to start. I'm going to run with an elevation, center line elevation, here. I'm going to choose my center pipe.
