In this lesson, learn how to take valves and inline components that have been placed in the P&ID and place them in the 3D model.
- [Instructor] Once you have your 3D lines in place,…we can use the Line List tool from PID…to place the inline valves and components…in much the same way we added the lines.…Let's add some valves now.…Let's go ahead and open 08_03_Model.…So here's the lines that we have…from our previous model.…Going to go ahead and close down this Orphaned Fasteners.…And I'm going to open up our link here.…So I'm going to come up to our PID line list.…So we see the lines that we have placed here.…Now we're going to add the valves onto these lines.…
So what I'm going to do first is I'm going to open up…our PID,…just to take a look at the order.…I'm going to zoom in on this area here.…While when we look in the model,…we do see the components that we have here.…We do see that on this soft orange line, 222,…we have a check valve, a gate valve,…and a globe valve.…But if we actually look on the PID and look at 222,…it's not necessarily listed in the same order.…So you always have to reference back to PID…and make sure the components are placed in the right order.…
