Adding and modifying nozzles
- [Instructor] When we create equipment using the Plant 3D Parametric Shapes, we're simply creating an envelope of sorts. It'll give us the approximate shape of the equipment, but what we do need to show is the accurate placement of the connections in and out of that equipment. For this, we add nozzles to the equipment, using a very specific placement tool. So let's go ahead and open Drawing 0404, Equip, and take a look at the model here. I've added an additional vessel here, this vertical vessel, a TK-404, and we're going to use that to just look at different placement of some of our nozzles. The first thing we're going to to is just going to spin around a little bit, and we're going to zoom in on that vessel. We're going to change to our parallel view. To place the nozzle on the equipment, we just simply pick Equipment, we have two options. We have this little nozzle icon that shows up and if we click that, it takes us into Dialog Box.
