The correct placement of equipment nozzles is critical when laying out your design. In this video, learn about how to place nozzles accurately on your equipment.
- [Instructor] When we create equipment…using the Plant 3D Parametric Shapes,…we're simply creating an envelope of sorts.…It'll give us the approximate shape of the equipment,…but what we do need to show is the accurate placement…of the connections in and out of that equipment.…For this, we add nozzles to the equipment,…using a very specific placement tool.…So let's go ahead and open Drawing 0404, Equip,…and take a look at the model here.…I've added an additional vessel here,…this vertical vessel, a TK-404,…and we're going to use that to just look…at different placement of some of our nozzles.…
The first thing we're going to to…is just going to spin around a little bit,…and we're going to zoom in on that vessel.…We're going to change to our parallel view.…To place the nozzle on the equipment,…we just simply pick Equipment, we have two options.…We have this little nozzle icon that shows up…and if we click that, it takes us into Dialog Box.…So what I'm going to do on this one,…we're going to place this equipment,…
