- [Instructor] Unlike zooming and panning in two dimensions as we have so far, to start drawing in 3D we need to get comfortable navigating in 3D. There are a few tools to make this a little bit easier. The most prominent is the view cube seen here in the upper right corner. As we hover over it we can see different parts of the cube illuminate. This lets me know that I can click on them, and AutoCAD will adjust my view. I can click on any edge, face or corner in order to view the model in that direction. I can also click and drag on the view cube in order to spin it around. I have some additional views here that I can jump to, like southwest isometric, northeast isometric, top and so on. Another way of getting around the view is using the orbit tool, which is found here under view, orbit. I have two types, constrained and free orbit. These allow me to simply spin the model around in any direction that I like.…
