Viewport layers
- [Instructor] In a previous video, we discussed layer states, the ability to turn layers on and off, en masse, to restore a specific view. This allows us to stack geometry on top of other geometry to help curtail issues and errors in the future. Fortunately, Viewports support a feature that allow us to turn on or off layers in a specific viewport without affecting the layers on or off state in the rest of the drawing. This means a layer, like First Floor Windows, can be on in one viewport and off in another where it's not needed. So I'm going to make sure that my Viewport layer is active here and then I'm going to go up to View, Viewports, and I want to create two different viewports, one here, and one here. I'm going to double-click inside my upper viewport here and from here, I have a few options. I can either try and turn off the layers individually, but that will turn them off in the other viewport, as well. If I look at my layer list, here, I can scroll over until I find this…
