- [Instructor] Application preferences are similar to the options menu of the Window's version of AutoCAD. It's found here under the AutoCAD menu item under Preferences. This dialog allows you to control user specific preferences like the look and feel of AutoCAD, as well as where the application looks for information to run. I won't bore you going over every single option, but there are a few that I want to highlight. If you have natural scrolling turned on, on your Mac, you may want to reverse the zoom direction found here. If you do not have a wheel on your mouse, you can enable Spacebar to pan around your drawing. Make sure that you set the default save as to a version that works well with anyone else you may me sharing files with. I typically do not use Shift key to add to selection. And I typically turn off click and drag to start selection, but again, these are personal preferences. Units and Guide is where you can set target drawing unis and the sourced units for either inches…
