Underlaying PDFs

- [Instructor] I mentioned that AutoCAD for Mac allows us to insert a number of different file types as underlays, and one file type we can use is a PDF. PDF files have a few special features by virtue of their creation type, and we can use that to our advantage. To start, we'll go up to the Insert menu and PDF Underlay. I'll select the PDF Underlay file here from the exercise files, and click open. Just like external references, I can set the insertion point and the path type. In the case of multi-page PDFs, I can choose specifically which pages I want to import, and then I can click Attach. I'm going to click down here, and scale the image just big enough where I can see it on my screen. Once the file is inserted, we have a few different options, which we can find by selecting the PDF, and then looking at the PDF visor. I can adjust the scale here, and I can also adjust the fade, just like images, which is great for tracing. Here, I can turn the PDF on or off. This is rather handy…
