- [Instructor] The stretch command is a slightly more finicky tool than some of the other modified tools. Only in that how you select the objects, is the most important part of the command. Once we're more comfortable with how we're selecting the objects, stretch can be a very useful tool. So here, I have a table in two views, a front view and a bottom view. I need to lengthen this table, so we're going to use the stretch command to do that. I'm going to show you this once and explain why I'm selecting the objects exactly where I'm selecting them. We'll grab the tool from right here, on the modified panel and we're going to pick a point here and right about here. And press return. I'm asked to specify a base point and I'm just going to go ahead and pick a point right about here. And I'm going to start to drag my cursor.
