- [Narrator] There are two different types of text entities in AutoCAD for Mac. Single-line text, also called D text and multi-line text, also called M text. Both are found here under the drafting tool set under the text panel. Here is multi-line text and we're going to to start with single-line text, right here. Going to go ahead and pick a start point for the text on my screen and for the height I'm just going to go ahead and press return to accept .2 and again I'm going to make sure that is zero and press return. And now I can start typing my text. As I get to the end of each line I press return and I can move on to the next line and press return again. Now, if I press return again without entering any new text on this line I'm actually kicked out of the command. So, with D text, each line is a separate line and a separate object.
