Setting layers to not plot

- [Instructor] We've already saved our template but I want to talk for a moment about some other layer tweaks that can make your drawing work just a little bit smoother. One of these is setting certain layers to not plot. I'm going to expand the Layer Properties dialogue box by clicking on the expand icon here. We can click and drag the palette using the lower right corner to view a little bit more of the columns, if we like, and using the icon here and hovering over View Options we control what columns we actually view. In this case, I want to turn on the Plot column found here. Using this, we can now control whether the objects on a specific layer print when we plot a drawing. They will still show on the screen while working in AutoCAD, they just won't plot on the printed page. One layer this might be useful for is viewports. I'm going to create a new layer called 0-Viewports and press Return. I'm going to change the color…
