Learn how to select a file to upload in A360 Drive.
- [Tutor] We are starting a new chapter now in our AutoCAD mobile app course. Now what you may notice is we are not really in the AutoCAD mobile app at the moment. Now there is a lot of preparation work that goes into making sure that you've got everything you need in your A360 Drive account first. So you will notice I have got Google Chrome open again. I am logged into my A360 Drive account and you will notice am in the New Country Cabin Project that we set up in the previous chapter.
So you should still have that in your A360 Drive account. The one that we set up in the previous chapter. Now am going to go into a little bit more detail now about how you would set things up to work in a proper project. Now am not talking projects using A360 or A360 drive, what am talking about is just getting your file structure and everything all set up correctly in a A360 Drive. When you just storing information for use with the AutoCAD mobile app.
So we got the New Country Cabin Project. What am going to do is am just going to select a form now you will notice I haven't gone into the Drawings sub-folder. If I do go in there, what you will notice is its empty at the moment. I have removed the Country Cabin drawing that was there in the previous chapter. So you might want to do the same, go into your Drawings sub-folder, select the Country Cabin file and just delete it. And then go back to your Files here, like so and then go back to your Country Cabin Project, now you will need to go down a bit.
There it is there in the list as I said it is sorted in alphabetically. Click on new Country Cabin Project after you've made sure that that Drawings sub-folder is empty by deleting the Country Cabin drawing that we loaded up in the previous chapter. So what am going to do now is am going to just upload files and then we are going to look at some folder structure and making sure that everything is ready for use with the AutoCAD mobile app should we need to use it. So am just in the New Country Cabin Project folder not the Drawings sub-folder, its showing in the list there.
So am just going to select a file to upload. So I click on upload like so and you can see it gone there to a folder and am going to go into my Exercise Files and that's the folder I want there. Now your files you can download from the website and store them in a folder separately to use for this particular chapter. Mine are all in there in there, Uploading a Document. So when I go in there, you can see there various files available to me. Those four files are on the website as exercise files. Make sure you download them and you've got them available to load up into your A360 Drive.
So am going to select Country Cabin 001, like so. I am going to click on open, and what will happen is that it will upload that quite happily into the folder. Now you will notice I haven't put it in the Drawings folder, there is a reason for that and that will become a lot more apparent as we work through this videos in the chapter.
