- [Instructor] We're staying in our A-100-GROUND.dwg file.…Now it may be that you want to save the file…to a different file name.…A different revision,…a different project, a different drawing name, and so on.…It's real quick and easy to do and it doesn't matter…if you change the file name from the file name…of the exported CAD drawing.…It's been exported now.…And it's been used in auto CAD.…And, it's purely a snapshot in time of the Revit model.…
So, basically, you could put this back…into the Revit model if you wanted to and use it…as a linked or imported CAD drawing,…but normally it works the other way.…You export out of Revit to CAD so that the guys use…the CAD drawing for a specific purpose.…Maybe an interior fit-out or services and so on.…Now, we're just going to rename it.…But what we're going to do,…we're going to change the file type as well.…And I'll show you a little naming philosophy…that I often use if I have files,…such as dwg's of different file types,…different AutoCAD versions.…
