- [Instructor] The rotate command allows you to rotate any object to any degree around a set base point. I'll start with the rotate command found here, and I'm going to select my object and press Return. I'm asked to specify a base point. Which I'll do right about here. Now you can see, as I drag my cursor around, my base point is the pivot point around which I'm rotating the object. I can either click any point out here in space, or if I read the command line, I can also specify a specific rotation angle just by typing it in. I'm just going to click here for now and leave it at that. I'm going to do this one more time. This time with my rectangle here. I'm going to select the rectangle first, and then grab the rotate command, click, and rotate it around just a little bit. Now, unfortunately, I need to rotate that back around just a little bit, and now that we've seen the mechanics of the command, we can look at some of the options that the command offers.
