- [Instructor] Points are an interesting geometric object to have in AutoCAD. They're often overlooked but can be extremely helpful in specifying reference points or even using them to mark up things. If I type POINT in the command line and press Return, I can click out here in space and we can see I'm given just that, a small dot on the screen. However, we do have a little bit of control over how these points are displayed. Under Format, Point Style, we have different symbols that we can use to represent our points. Remember that points have no length or width, so this is just a visual representation of the point for my own purposes. I'll choose this one here. And I can also change the size of the symbol. I'm going to leave this set at 5% of my current screen size and click OK. And now there we have a much easier to see representation of my point. If I zoom in, the point appears to get bigger, but if I do a REGEN and press Return, we can see it shrinks the symbol back down to 5% of…
