- [Instructor] Not every object we draw is made entirely of straight lines, and not everything that is made of straight lines needs to be drawn one line segment at a time. AutoCAD has many other tools to get your geometry drawn quickly and accurately. Let's start with a basic circle. I'm going to go to the Drafting tool pallet, under the Draw panel, and find the circle icon here. I'll click, and then drag my cursor out to the screen. We can see the default here is center radius. This means, I'll click where I want the center of my circle to be, and then I can enter a radius, or pick a point for the radius to travel through. And then, AutoCAD will create my circle for me. There are a lot of options for creating a circle, however, based on the information you have. What if you have a diameter of a circle and it's not something easily split in half for a radius?
