Locking viewports

- [Instructor] While viewports are a necessity in today's drafting environment, they can also be a little bit of a headache if not managed properly. One of the biggest issues is the ability to pan and zoom inside your viewport. So when we established our new view, we double clicked inside the port to activate it, panned in zoom around to find our view, then we double click outside the view port, selected it, and set the scale. However, if I double click back inside of my viewport, and then I accidentally pan or even worse, zoom, I've actually messed up my view. It's no longer the scale. So, to prevent this from happening, we need to lock the viewport. So to do this, I'm going to select the viewport here, and then I'm going to come down here to the status bar, and right next to the viewport scale is a little padlock right here.
