- Now that we have all that theory under our belt, we can actually start to draw some stuff. As we begin to draw, take note of the state of my status bar here at the bottom of your screen. I have grid turned on, and then snap, ortho and polar turned off. And then I have dynamic input turned on. To start, I'm going to go up to the tool sets, making sure I'm on the drafting tool set. Go to the draw panel, and click on the line tool. I'll move my cursor out here in space, and simply click. We mentioned before that the dynamic input is sort of a quasi mirror of the command line, so we can see it's asking me for my next point. I can drag my cursor out and simply click, and I can continue on like this until I either press return on my keyboard, escape, or the space bar.
