- [Instructor] We've talked about using the join command to join lines and arcs together to form polylines, but there's a lot more that the command can do. Yes, if I select multiple objects including lines and arcs, I will get a polyline. However, if I select two lines that are coplanar, meaning they lie on the same plane at the same angle, like these two line segments here, I'll actually get a single line. I'm going to go ahead over here to the modify panel, grab the join command, select my two individual line segments and press return, and now I have a single-line segment. And this works even if the line segments aren't touching. Again, I'll hit Join, grab this segment and this segment and press return, and AutoCAD will fill in the gap. Let's try the same thing with the arc that I have over here. I'm going to go ahead and join, arc, and press return. Now, AutoCAD sees that there aren't any other arcs per se that I picked,…
