- [Instructor] Groups are a simple way of connecting related geometry for ease of moving, copying, and otherwise just selecting our objects. Here I have some basic office furniture that I want to copy to a few to other locations. Right now these are four or five individual objects. So every time that I want to copy or move them, I need to make sure that I select every piece of geometry. But for now I'm going to go ahead and group these together. And there are two ways I can do this. I can either type in the word group and then select my objects or I can select my objects, right click, and then come down here to group and I can group them together. Both accomplish the same task. Now I'm going to zoom out just a little bit. I'm going to go grab my copy tool, select my objects, and I can pick any single piece of that geometry and I've selected the entire group.
