Fillet and chamfer

- [Instructor] Fillet and Chamfer are two very similar tools, both set to join lines together at an intersection. However, Fillet does this with a radius curve or an arc, and chamfer does this with a straight line. I'll find the fillet tool over here under the modified tool panel. I want to look at the modes down here real quick, just so I can check the settings of the command. Right now, it's set to trim mode, which is fine, and the radius is actually set to zero, and this can be rather helpful. With the radius set to zero, what AutoCAD will do is actually extend the two lines or trim them back, so that they form a perfect point. So just like the Extend tool, I need to pay attention to where I select the lines, in this case, near the end that I want to extend them.
