Drawing tabs
- In 2016, AutoCAD for Mac underwent an interface update, and the new interface more-closely reflects what users find in the Windows version. One of the elements are drawing tabs. Like the tabs you would find in a web browser, like Chrome or Safari, drawing tabs allow you to quickly jump between multiple open drawings. They're found here right across the top of the drawing window. I have a few files open from our sample files, but these aren't really necessary. We're not going to be editing them. I just needed a couple files open to be able to show you what we can do with these drawing tabs. We can simply click to display each one of the individual drawings. We can also click and drag to reorder these in any order that we like. If you right-click or Ctrl + click on any of the tabs, we get a series of options. These include things like opening a file, saving this particular tab, saving all of the open tabs, closing…
