- [Instructor] There are times when drafting where we need to spread objects evenly along a distance or place objects at specific distances from each other along a line. For this, we can use DIVIDE and MEASURE. And don't get confused. We're using the term measure here in a different way than the inquiry tools that we used in the last video. First, let's look at DIVIDE. Here, I have a wall that I need to divide into three equal segments. So, I'm going to type in DIVIDE, press Return, select the line, and then I'm going to type in the number of segments that I want, in this case, three, and press Return. Doesn't quite look the command really had any effect, does it? But what it did was actually place two points along the line as references points for us. I'll go up to Format and Point Style and choose a style that I can see and click OK. And here we can see the two reference points that the DIVIDE tool used.
