Dimensioning your drawing

- [Instructor] There are many dimension tools and the ones you will use will depend on what it is that you're dimensioning. Let's start with some basic tools, mainly Linear and Circular Dimensions, which are found, here, under the dimension panel on the drafting tool set. We'll start with Linear Dimension, here and most of these dimension tools require to pick two points and that's what it's going to give you the dimension between. So, in this case, I'll choose my endpoint here, and then, my endpoint here, drag, and click to place the dimension. We can hit return to activate the last command again, and I'll pick another two points, namely this one here, and this one here. Drag my cursor up, and place my dimension. Note that the linear dimension tool only gives you the X or the Y dimension between the two points that you select. So the horizontal or the vertical dimension between the two points.
