Creating layouts

- [Narrator] A typical drawing package may include several sheets and so we're often required to create several layouts in our drawings. By default AutoCAD templates have two layouts already created named, layout one, and layout two. We can access the available layouts using the tabs here at the bottom of the screen. Here in layout one we can see a single view port already created for us. For the purposes of this lesson we're going to delete this view port by selecting it and then pressing the delete key on your keyboard. So to get started, I'm going to create a rectangle to represent the sheet of paper I want to eventually print my work on. I'll go to rectangle and for the first corner point I'm going to type in 0,0 and press return. That will lock me into the lower left corner point. For the second point I'm going to type in 11,8.5 and that will represent my eight and half by 11 piece of paper.
