Creating layouts

- [Instructor] A drawing package may include several sheets so we are often required to create several layouts for our drawings. By default, AutoCAD templates typically have two layouts already created, creatively named Layout 1 and Layout 2. We can access these at the bottom of our screen, simply by clicking on the tab. Here in Layout 1, we can see a single viewport has already been created for us. For the purposes of this lesson, we're going to delete this viewport as we'll create our own later on. To start off, I want to create a rectangle to represent the piece of paper I eventually want to print on. I'll create it with the rectangle tool, making sure I'm on the right layer. I'll use the lower-left corner point of 0,0 and since this is going to be an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper in landscape view, I'll make my width 11 and my height 8.5 and press return.
