Creating layer

- [Instructor] When we set up a new drawing in AutoCAD the only layer that exists is layer zero, the default layer. To create new layers, I'm going to up to the layer palette and I'm going to expand the layer list here. Now I have the options, all the buttons here, to add additional layers. I can also change the height of this, using the slider here, if I need more room. However, typically if I'm going to be editing a lot of layers, I don't find this as quite big enough, so I'm going to click on the icon here, undock the layer palette. This gives me a little bit more space, and things are a little bit easier to read. I'm going to select the new layer button here, and I'm asked for a name. I'm going to type in hidden and press return. I can change the color by clicking on the color swatch here, and then clicking on select color. I can choose from one of the standard 255 AutoCAD colors, a true color, or I can use a specific color from a color book. DIC, Pantone or RAL. I'm going to…
