Configuring a new drawing

- [Narrator] Obviously if you're just starting out, you need to create some new drawings before you can open them. I think you'll find most drafters tend to copy and duplicate files, and then modify them to their needs. Rather than starting completely from scratch. However, you need to start from somewhere. And if you set up your drawing with the appropriate information, you can save a file as a template to start from in the future with everything just how you want. To start a new file, type new in the command line, or go up to File, New Drawing. From here, we can choose which template we want to start with. And the one you should choose is really dependent on what you want to accomplish in the drawing. If you want a basic blank canvas, you can use aced.dwt, seen here. If you want to see some templates of sheet sets or drawings with some sheet layouts and layers already set, you can choose one of the others,…
