Command line overview
- [Instructor] The command line is a fairly unique feature amongst most modern applications. While some of us remember the days of DOS programming, where every computer command was typed into a black screen with a blinking cursor, the command line evokes the mindset of complete control of the application down to a programming level, even if that may not really be the case. In reality, the modern command line is much simpler, and is indeed a necessary tool to working fully with AutoCAD. By default, the command line as shown here, displays one single line of text. If I grab onto the top of the palette, this is easiest done to the right edge of the palette, I can click and drag up to expose additional lines of text. I typically like to see it at a minimum of three lines. The current command line at the bottom, as well as at least two command lines above that, in order to show me everything that AutoCAD is asking me. And showing…
