- [Narrator] Not every object we want to draw is made entirely of straight lines. And not everything that is made of straight lines needs to be drawn one line segment at a time. AutoCAD has many other tools to get your geometry drawn quickly and accurately. We're going to start with the basic circle. I'm going to go to the drafting tool pallet under the draw panel and find the circle icon here. If I click and hold, you can see I have a myriad of different options based on the information that I have to draw my circle. I'm going to choose the basic circle here, circle, center, radius. With this I'm asked for the center point of the circle. So I'm going to pick here and then I'm asked for the radius of the circle. I can either click a point out here in space. Or I can type in a specific numerical value. This case 2.5 and press return. What if you're not sure of the radius? Maybe you have a diameter that's not easily split in…
