Blocking our work

- [Instructor] Now that we have all the line work, text, and attributes for our title block, we want to lock it down so it can't accidentally be altered. We do this by making it a block. The block creation tool is here on the block panel of the drafting toolset. For the name, I'm going to call this ANSI B TBlock. And now I'm asked to select my objects. I want to be smart about this. We could just use a big crossing window to select everything, including the attributes, but then AutoCAD determines the order of the attributes by their location in space. I'd rather be the one to determine the order that AutoCAD asked me for the attributes, which it will do every time we insert this block. So I'm going to zoom in over here and then select my four attributes here in the order that I want to be asked them in. And then I'll zoom out and select all the rest of the objects and press return.
