Batch publishing

- [Presenter] Another tool for creating plots quickly is the batch publish tool, which is great for plotting all of your layouts even from multiple files in one shot. Provided that you've taken the time to create your page setups. Using batch publish we can create PDFs from multiple files at one time. I'll go up to file, and find batch publish here. From here, I'm going to click on add current drawing. This will import Batch Publish 1 file that I already have open, including both layouts. Now I don't actually want to print the model space as there's really nothing there that's set up to be printed so I can either subtract that one individually or I can click this to remove any model space layouts already imported. I want to add another file here so I'm going to go to plus and in my plotting and sharing in my exercise files I'm going to click on Batch Publish 2 and click on open. Now unfortunately with Batch Publish 2 I don't have the Lynda 1 page set up that I created in my other files, so, what I'm going to do is press Command + A on my keyboard to select all three of my layouts and then in Batch Publish 1, right here at the top I'm going to click on the drop down and choose Lynda 1. This will use the Lynda 1 page set up that's available in this file including using it here on Batch Publish 2 even though Lynda 1 isn't actually a page set up in that file. I can choose where I want to publish this to, either a new PDF or the printer from the page setup. And I can choose specific options down here including opening the PDF when it's done as well as creating a single PDF with multiple sheets. Once this is all set and done I'll click on publish and I'm going to save this out on my desktop as Batch Publish 1, I'll click save and AutoCAD will open any files that it needs to including Batch Publish 2, print the file and then close them. So we can see I have three different layouts from my two different files, all in one, single PDF. So we can see that batch plot is a great way to plot your entire project quickly and accurately.
