- [Instructor] The Array tool is sort of like the Copy command that's been hitting the gym. It allows us to copy our objects in a pattern creating a series of copies with set distances between them, or even creating a grid using columns and rows. We're going to start with a basic grid, which is a rectangular array, which we can find in the top-right corner of the Modify toolset here. I'll select my objects, in this case the star, and press Return. And immediately I'm given sort of a starter grid pattern. It's made up of different rows and columns. I can adjust the spacing between the rows and columns just by clicking on the different grips. The one closest to the original source object allows me to change the spacing. If I click it, I can enter in a specific distance between the columns. In this case, I'll enter in six, and press Return. I can do the same thing for the rows. Again, I'll type in seven, and press Return.…
