Join Jim LaPier for an in-depth discussion in this video Accessing the palettes, part of AutoCAD for Mac 2018 Essential Training.
- [Instructor] The pallets found…in AutoCAD for Mac are typically spread…around the perimeter of the screen to allow…for the largest amount of working space,…or quote, unquote screen real estate as possible.…To see the pallets available to you,…we'll go up the the menu bar and look under Window.…The pallets checked are the ones displayed…and I can check or uncheck these as needed.…I found the default pallets seen here…are the ones most commonly used.…But, if you find yourself accessing certain functions…on a regular basis, like xrefs for example,…you can turn them on or off here.…
Unlike previous versions, some of the pallets are now…combined into a sort of master pallet found here…on the right side of the screen.…Across the top of the pallet are tabs that allow us…to switch back and forth between these different…pallets including layers and properties,…xrefs, and the content manager.…All of these pallets can be peeled off or un-docked…using the dock button found here.…This brings the pallet back out into a floating window.…
