- [Instructor] There's more to sprinkler systems than just pipe and sprinklers. Let's start looking at other items, such as how the fire department can hook into your water supply. In this video we're gonna choose a fire department inlet connector. We will then run pipe off the connector and up through our building. To get started let's jump into AutoCAD. Go into our fire department drawing. In your workspace switching, let's make sure piping is set current. Let's go to our equipment tab. On the very top let's click on mechanical equipment. In fire protection let's drill in to where it says fire department inlet connectors. Let's scroll down to 3-way flush. Select the top one. Now select the bottom one. What's nice is you get a pretty good preview of what you're able to bring in. I'm gonna grab the one with the plate on it. For my elevation, right down here, let's type in four feet and hit enter.
