Creating viewports and sheets

There are so many ways to do this, it's not funny. Creating and configuring view ports to print, my motto is simple is best. But, we can't always get away with that in the land of AutoCAD. In this video, we will create a sheet. Then, externally reference some drawings in. After that, we'll go back and apply specific display configurations to each view. It seems rather remedial, but it's definitely worth covering. In AutoCAD MEP, let's go to Get Started. Under Start Drawing, let's click the Templates dropdown. This time, I want to select Aecb Sheets US Imperial Ctb. In 2015, AutoDesk did a great job of hiding the tabs, that we used to have for model and paper space. After half an hour of looking, I found them in the View tab. Let's turn on File tabs and Layout tabs. What we need to do is actually go back into our Model space. So, I'm going to click the Chevron Flag out here, and I'm going to go to Model. Now let's bring in some external references. I'm going to type XR and hit Enter…
