Creating power circuits
With our panels and receptacles in place, we need to dig into the AutoCAD database and basically link the two together. The idea is to group together receptacles in a specific room and assign them to a panel. Then we're going to add them to a circuit within that panel. This video's objective is to create a power lighting circuit within our panel, pp-1. First, we'll need to specify an Electrical Project Database, create the circuit. Then, we'll select the receptacle we want assigned to that circuit. We will then view the circuiting to make sure it's correct and at the items we think are on the circuit actually are. To get started, we can open up our MEP Electrical drawing. Let's make sure electrical power is current. And let's make sure that our workspace switching is set to Electrical.
