- In this video we will create single line text objects. Open the Architectural2 sample file from the Chapter 09 folder. I've already set up a text style in this file. To verify this, type st, enter, for style. Here we have the Technical text style set as current and you can see that listed right up here. This is important because when you create text objects they automatically appear in the current text style. So it behooves you to set up the text style first. Now we can go ahead and create some text. Go to the annotation panel and open up this fly out menu and select Single Line. Specify a start point somewhere in this room just by clicking a point. Now the prompt says, Specify height. I could click another point to specify a distance from the first point clicked to the second point clicked, and that would be a height. Or I could type in a number here. Let's try one foot, enter. Specify a rotation angle of text, I'll go with zero. It's the default, so all you have to do is hit…
