Writing single-line text
In this video, we will create single line text objects. Open the Architectural2 sample file from the chapter nine folder. I've already set up a text style in this file. To verify this type, s + t + enter, for style. Here we have the technical text style, set as current. And you can see that listed right up here. This is important because when you create text objects, they automatically appear in the current text style. So it behooves you to set up the text style first. Now, we can go ahead and create some text. Go to the annotation panel, and open up this fly out menu and select, single line. Specify a start point somewhere in this room just by clicking a point. Now the prompt says specify height. I could click another point to specify a distance from the first point clicked to the second point clicked, and that would be a height. Or I could type in a number here. Let's try one foot, enter. Specify rotation angle of text, I'll go with a zero, it's the default so all you have to do is…
