- Fillet, Chamfer and Blend are three commands used to create transitions between lines. Open the Lines sample file in the Chapter 05 folder. The three commands I mentioned are here on this fly out, Fillet, Chamfer and Blend. The icons give you an idea for what these commands do. Fillet creates an arc transition between objects. Chamfer makes a straight line which can act like a beveled edge. Blend inserts a spline between objects. Let's begin with Fillet. The prompt says "Select first object." Before I actually use this command, I need to set the Fillet radius down here with the Radius option. I'm going to click Radius and I can type in a value here or I can click two points on screen to specify that distance. I'll take this latter approach. I click two points about at the same scale as this gap between the lines. Now, it says "Select first object" so I'll click this line and then select the second object over here and the preview image shows you what's going to happen. There's going…
