Starting a new drawing with an AutoCAD template file (DWT)

- As I mentioned at the beginning of this chapter, what we can do is, open up a new drawing from one of the default templates available to you in AutoCAD LT. Now you'll notice that we've got the start drawing option. As I mentioned at the beginning of the chapter. And I go and pick a template and it creates a new drawing from one of these templates in the list. Now it may be that you've got some templates saved elsewhere, that you may utilize for a project. They might be company specific templates and so on. How do you open up from one of those templates? One of those DWT files? It's actually very quick and easy. I can go to the application menu. And I can go new here, like so. If I click on new like that what it'll do is it'll take me to the default AutoCAD LT template folder which is there at the top of the screen. Or, I can go and look for one of my own templates. Now I can do that from the application menu, I'll just cancel that. Or I can just click on new here, on the quick…
