Redefining local blocks with global blocks

- In this video we will insert global blocks into the local drawing file and in the process we will redefine a block definition. Open the Architectural6 sample file from the Chapter 12 folder and click the Insert button here on the Block Panel. This shows us a list of all of the block definitions that are in this local drawing file. I want to access a block that's not in this drawing though. To do that click on More Options. So this is the Insert dialogue box and it has a drop-down right here that lists all the different blocks you have locally. There's a DiningChair block and it looks like that. I'd like to insert something from outside this drawing so I'll click Browse. In the Chapter 12 folder, you'll find another drawing called Chair. Select it and click Open. Check here and here so that we can Specify the Insertion point and Rotation On Screen. Click OK and here we have this chair. I'll click a point and then I can rotate it.
