Points and donuts
- In this video, I'll discuss points and donuts. Both create dots on the screen. Points are single pixels and donuts can have a larger size. Type p + o for point. This command has no options, you simply specify a point and you have a single pixel on the screen there. I'll do that again, I'll press enter to repeat the command and simply click a point. These can be useful as placeholders, they specify these positions. I could, later on, perhaps draw an arc between them. To do so, I'll use the Arc tool in the default 3-Point mode and I'd like to snap to that point. I'll hold down shift and right click to access the object snap menu. If you want to snap to a point object, you have to use Node snap. That's shown there in green, I'll click right there and the first point of the arc snaps precisely to that point. I'll press F8 to turn off Ortho. Click the second point of the arc here and the third point of the arc, I want to click right on that point so I'm going to hold down shift and right…
