Outputting DWFx files for sharing online

In this video, we will create output in the dwf format. This stands for drawing web format. Dwf files were designed to be posted on the internet, because they have very small files sizes, in comparison to dwg files. The advantage of posting something in dwf format, is that it's a vector format, unlike an image you can zoom in on a dwf without the loss of quality. Open the plumbing sample file in the chapter 16 folder and type, plot. Open up the plotter list, and select DWFX E plot. This is the latest version. The older version is version six. X indicates the XML format. Let's just select this particular driver, and do a preview. So we need to specify the area that we want to plot. By clicking here and choosing window. Then click two points around the diagram like this and do another preview. Okay. We can change the orientation to portrait, another preview. That's looking better. Press Enter. And then OK. We'll save this with the default name. The file extension is dwfx. Click Save…
