Making isometric drawings

In this video, we'll create an isometric drawing. Isometric drawings are two dimensional illusions that represent three dimensional objects. But they're not truly 3D models. This is perfect for autoCAD LT which doesn't support 3D modeling. You can actually represent a 3D object, in isometric. To enable this in AutoCAD you need to turn on a status bar toggle called the isoplane and you can access that on the customization menu under isometric drafting. That adds this control to the status bar. It contains three different planes, left, top and right. We'll start with the left plane. Click here to enable isometric mode. The icon changes to a red and green symbol. The cursor also matches that. The x axis is red and the y is green. Let's also turn on ortho and snap. Draw a line and let's draw the left side of a mechanical part. Reviewing it, from above and at an oblique angle. Now I need to change the isoplane so that I can draw the top. Draw another line.
