Inserting and redefining blocks

- Now that we have some static blocks defined in the drawing, let's go ahead and insert some block references, and then we'll redefine some of the nested blocks and see what happens. Go up to Insert Block and scroll down and choose the Desk set. Insert another Desk set over here somewhere. Incidentally, you can insert with More Options if you want to specify some of the parameters. You can choose your block from this drop-down list. I'll choose Armchair, and I want to specify the rotation onscreen. I don't want to scale it, so I'm just going to leave that as 1, 1, 1, and then I'll click OK. And now I can click a point for this armchair to appear right about here, and then I can rotate it interactively. So that just gives you some more options. If you just want to put a block in quickly, just use the Gallery. I'll put in another Desk set over here, and because I set those options up earlier, I can specify the rotation angle.
