Inserting blocks using the tool palettes

- [Instructor] We're staying in our UsingBlocks.dwg file. And in the previous video we looked at inserting blocks that were already in our dwg file. What we're gonna look at now is bringing external blocks in from other sources. The first one we're gonna look at is utilizing tool pallettes in AutoCAD. Now the tool pallets in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT come with a plethora of standard blocks that you can drag and drop into your AutoCAD drawings. So go to the view tab on the ribbon and into the pallettes panel here and clock on tool pallettes. Now as soon as you do that your tool pallettes are here. I'm just gonna drag them over to the right a little bit so we've got a bit more space. And you'll notice each tool pallette is broken down into a different category. So you've got fore example annotation, architectural, mechanical, electrical and so on.
