In this video, we will hide and isolate objects. This is a system for controlling object visibility, that's independent of layers. Open the Architectural sample file from the chapter 11 folder. And you'll find that this file contains but a single layer. Layer zero. Nevertheless, we're able to hide or isolate specific objects. So, for example, let's say I want to hide the bathroom fixtures so I'm not looking at them, I'll zoom in there, go down here to the Status bar and click on this particular icon right here. It has two operations, hide or isolate. Let's start with Hide. I'll hide these objects. I'll make a window selection around the sink, and a crossing selection around part of the tub. And press Enter. They disappear. I can repeat the command by pressing Enter. Or by typing hide objects on the command line. Then I can hide the rest, Enter. It's just that simple, they're gone. Now, if you didn't know about this system, you could really be perplexed about where these objects went…
